27 discover dilapidated bunkers underground or in the jungle. these bunkers have been made by megalopolans seeking shelter from the heat, the humidity, and ultra beasts.

28 discover a vast field filled with impossibly large celesteela that dwarf you inside. periodically, some will launch.

29 ride one of the aforementioned large celesteela in prompt 28 to reach the large moon in the sky. here, a large gathering of celesteela can be found, ready to launch again, perhaps to new worlds. due to supernatural means, being on this moon may cause your characters to want to stay and remain in this realm instead of going back home.

30 depending on the lunar phase, your character's moods may be affected for better or for worse.

🗺️ SPECIAL HUNT: your character(s) will be able to capture a CELESTEELA or KARTANA during this expedition. they may consider capturing an infantile celesteela or more a docile kartana; however, catching one may incur the wrath of more mature ultra beasts in the realm and cause multiple earthquakes, eruptions, or celesteela launches toward your location.

Instead of an ULTRA BEAST, they may encounter and catch a ZARUDE that has wandered into this rift from Hoenn instead.

having rested in a DILAPIDATED BUNKER, matias feels refreshed after cooling off from the intense heat of the jungle. not that he minds the heat, of course, as his ideal world is exactly that and more.

"finish your drink. i wanna go ride those."

he points out a slit in the wall to a vast field filled with LARGE CELESTEELA. from their brief time here, two have already launched towards the moon.

restless, he turns to his friend and pats them on their shoulder.

"hurry."

kyle zips up his sygna suit before they go to ride one of the celesteela. his smeargle follows after him as soon as they finish their rest.

"alright, i'm ready."

the smeargle has yet to acquire a meaningful moveset, but the functions of a sygna suit alone makes it worth utilizing in this scenario. it has proven itself useful for other dimensions for the wilds, and it might as well find a reason to be useful here.

"do you think the last time isn't a fluke?"

where kyle zips up his sygna suit, matias zips up his league jacket, the orange make of it complementing his salmon hair well.

"nah, nothing's a fluke with me."

actually, he read a report of it somewhere that these celesteela launch by themselves, so it's down to a matter of luck. as his eyes scan the vast field for one, it becomes almost impossible to know which one's about to launch, so he chooses at random and hopes for the best.

"this one."

he hops on one, then invites kyle on with an offered hand.

he smiles at the implication that most of matias' failures are intended to be failures, though he doesn't verbally word them out. instead, a teasing smile remains on his expression that hints matias of his inner thoughts.

"if we don't end up going all the way, at least i have plan b."

it was solgaleo, as always, though it doesn't mean there was no plans c or d.

he takes his hand and goes on the celesteela, nestling his smeargle between them. the pokemon probably has no applicable moves left under its repertoire, but it still activates the sygna suit on hand.

kyle waits for matias to get the celesteela ready for launch.

the issue with his plan is that there's no controlling when the CELESTEELA would launch as they all appear to be doing so on their own schedule. so, for a few minutes, the two of them sit on the ultra beast waiting for something to happen.

"this is kinda awkward."

he can't see it, but he's almost certain kyle's smeargle is nodding in agreement.

then, making him eat his words, the CELESTEELA suddenly launches. he's lurched back, almost flying off if not for his tight primal grip.

"wooooooah!"

they crash to the moon.

the trip was exhilarating, but it happens all of a sudden that kyle doesn't have the time to process the few frames of memories he could have had from the flight. the next thing he felt is being thrown to the moon's surface from the crash.

he rolls with his smeargle, immediately getting up when he can.

"hey, are you alright?" he immediately asks matias.

there was no need to turn to see the garden of bamboo they have found themselves into. celesteela fills the surface of the moon, with some of them taking off soon after to another heavenly body.

"you should see this."

if he could stretch this moment out into all of eternity, he would—he so desperately would—because they he would never be able to come back to this. if only he had realized it at the time, then maybe he would've tried harder.

he flits to kyle's side, joining him as he peers out at the garden of bamboo. his hand brushes against kyle's, and quietly, the desire rises to reach out for more.

"can we stay here a while?"

he places his hand on matias' shoulder.

"we absolutely could," he answers, "but..."

he turns to a few of the ultra beasts coming to life. those that had been inactive got up from their positions, having noticed the intruders to their little paradise of a moon.

"i don't think they'll allow us."

his smeargle hides behind his leg, aware that he couldn't do anything with his current moves all banned by the higher beings. it takes kyle a while to choose for an appropriate pokemon, allowing matias to act first.

the encroaching ultra beasts bring an end to their time here today. though he had anticipated as much, coming to terms wiht it is another thing entirely.

"that's a shame."

he clicks his tongue, sighs, then draws out a pokeball to call out his kartana; an usual choice given his preference in kanto pokemon, but one that cannot be helped given the circumstances. the ultra beast flutters out, engaging.

in the midst of the battle, it proves easy to catch a CELESTEELA on his way out.

matias was always considered one of the region's best fighters befitting his title, moreso in informal settings like being against forces of nature or the battlefield of war as opposed to the stage of the league's gym circuit.

destruction was rampant, and it causes the fight against ultra beasts to go so well that kyle doesn't have to waste too much energy with dispatching those that don't want them here.

an accompanying celesteela was caught by the champion to match the elite four member's.

despite the ease of it, time ran out for them. the trip home with the solgaleo is prepared, knowing that he can't afford for matias to stay too long without protection of his own.

he may not prefer a sygna suit to let them stay longer, but at least they can take multiple trips instead of an extended period.
